You'll sit alone forever, if you wait for the right time.

So I went to Gabe's again tonight, always a pretty good time. Better on Wednesday, but let's not be judgemental. Anyway, I ran into Julie again, which at first was really weird, but it's odd how quick and easy it is to reconcile with someone you were never mad at. So I have to go to Meadville this next week. We leave when I get back from my game on Saturday, which is ok, I guess, but then we spend the night on the road, something I love doing, but not with my family. Then there's Meadville itself, most boring city ever created. It's slowly falling apart and decaying. The stores all need painting, the masonry needs redone, and the streets are cracking and buckling. All in all, it will soon be a ghost town. It's populated by people either too old or poor to get out, and it makes me terribly sad that people live like that. Anyway, enough of that. I really hope we win tomorrow, I'm pretty sure I'll die if we lose. Actually, we won't lose. We just won't. Sorry Alison, you will fall. Again, for the final time in the regular season. Anyway, I'm going to go now, I'll check in on all you kids later.

do you know what stars are? balls of fire burning up the black space

So I bought two CDs a few days ago, North by Something Corporate, and Futures, by Jimmy Eat World. They're both incredible CDs. Both of them deserve much wider popularity than they received. Anyway, I woke up at like 3 today, which was nice. Me and Hui had a really good talk last night. I'm not sure how many people that read this thing even know who Hui is, but that's rather not my problem, now is it? Either way, we talked about the randomest things and it was crazy awesome. She's going to Duke in the fall, just like Leigh and Molly and Katie and Luke, and pretty much everyone from TIP that I thought was supercool, with a few exceptions. The first four songs on North are incredible. Anyway, I helped clean out the garage today, that place is full of crap. Also had a funeral for a bird that's been dead for almost four years. other than that, nothing. Family Guy tonight, we'll see how that goes.

Well, it's been a while since i updated this junk for real. So I'll start like this. The Alkaline Trio was insanely good, best concert I've ever been to. Aside from that which was over a week ago, I haven't really done anything worth reporting. I set my alarm wrong, so I missed my Summer League game today, which we promptly lost. I suck, I know. East won again in the staff TIP game, not surprising. Ken got fired, which struck me as really weird. Anyway, today was a good day, good fun and good people, we'll see how tomorrow goes. I do love the comments, to please leave them.

yes, that's actually in a song. Also in a TV show, name it and win. So anyway, not much to report, except that I hit a toad last night, it dove under my wheel, and a firefly today, which was totally sweet, because it left a little spot on my windshield that glowed for a while, and also because when I hit it, it lit up like a tracer bullet.

Well, I've joined in the hate-mongering and mudslinging of the TIP circus. Either way, I'm sure I still want to work there. Even if they don't know how to play ultimate, I still do. I'll teach them everything they'll need to know. Even if it doesn't come down to that, it's still TIP, and it still needs people to help the kids explore their worlds and know they have safety nets if they ever need them. Anyway, everyone who's ever been to TIP knows that RCs are an incredibly important part of it, and having a good, even legendary one can make all the difference in the world. However, I think the coolest part of TIP is the way that now I'm an adult, I feel like they've almost become peers, despite being much older. Regardless of that, TIP is where it's at.

And you can't breathe, without coughing in daytime, so what do you say, your coffin or mine?

Alright, so let me tell you one of my all-time favorite stories. It happened this past fall, of 04, to be precise. So I had my wisdom teeth out on a Friday, right. So I says to myself, 'the hell with it' and I go to an ultimate tournament that saturday. Of course, I'm high as hell on Percoset, so it'll at least be interesting. So we go there, and it's amazing. I had a blast, it was the best thing ever. Nothing hurt, I walked all funny, every joke was hilarious, and everyone was really nice to me. Of course, this is my interpretation, so the real event may have been substantially different. Anyway, I was watching State play, and Kristen Maloney was there, she's the sister of James' ex, Lauren, which explains why she was there. So I sat kinda near them to watch State, and I threw sticks at Kristen for over an hour. I'd pick up a twig, break it into little pieces, and hit Kristen with every piece. I thought it was the best flirting I'd ever done, hands down. Looking back, I still think it was a money tactic. Anyway, she was nice enough to oblige me and be playful for a while, I think she may have thrown some sticks back, and as you can read below, she was polite enough to accept my invitation to sit in my lap when I stole her chair. However, since then, she's been nothing but rude, snide, and cold, although still playful. Just kidding Kristen, you're not always mean. Nonetheless, I love that story. Alright, more to come later. We won in ultimate again.

However, he didn't leave a phone number or anything, so I'm not really sure how I'll contact him. Ah well, at least I'm where I want to be. Syme, 217, the number for the room is 512-5743 but i doubt anyone will even plug a phone into the room, so we'll see about that. Also, I'm feeling a lot better than I did last night, so that's cool. Anyway, went to see Austin today, he's doing well, I think.

Well, despite the rather sad title today, I'm feeling rather upbeat. Today, despite spending most of it doing chores, was fun. I stopped by Gamestop on a whim, and happened to pick up a copy of La Pucelle Tactics. Now, to the vast majority of you, probably all, that means nothing. However, it is a style of game i do greatly enjoy, and the company that made it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Always quality games, always funny, and always worth it. Going off from that, last night was fun, what with the chilling and Austin's house. Not that I'd be a big fan of doing it a lot more, it was just a fun time. Anyway, still waiting to meet someone new or play pool. I need to do one or the other soon. So get on that, team. Actually, I guess it's pretty much all on me, isn't it? It is. Ah well, nonetheless. Not much to say, I'm about to get to bed. I'll see you all later.

I love that song. I doubt many other people have ever even heard it. If you honestly recognize it, I'll be very impressed. Well, the last few days have been fun. People keep coming here and staying for random hours and days. That's nice though, I like having people around. I need to find a job. Well, still haven't gotten my cleat back, which kinda sucks, but I'll be ok. Hat League tonight. I need some cleats. Hopefully I'll make it out. I'm almost feeling burnt out on ultimate right now though. Just like I need to take a break for a little while and come back to it. I still love it, to be sure. Ah well, who knows what life will hold? It'll be good though. Chores today, hopefully Hardee's, then Reno 911 premiers again tonight. Then, tomorrow, well, nothing happens, it's a Wednesday, but then Thursday, ice cream with Dani, hopefully. Then after that? I don't know, I have a real open schedule.
Hey, give me space so I can breathe

Today was freakin' awesome, the way summer is supposed to be. I woke up kinda early, went to my summer league game, and we almost lost, but then we got our shit together, and I'd like to think I was a good leader. Then, to Austin's graduation thing, me and Jeck got there kinda late, but it's ok, we still saw him. Then I stayed there for a while, then to the East vs. West TiP staff game. East was down 7-8 at half, then got it together and won 15-8. Way to go East. I'm thinking more and more that I want to work there next summer. I know it'll be three months, but by god, I want to do it. Also, if I feel any sort of obligation in my life, it's to the people and spirit of TiP. I just want to do it, as a sort of a payback/philanthropist sort of deal. I know the money is shitty, and it eats all of your time, but I feel it'll be worth it. So, abstract, I loved TIP and want to be an RC, and today was awesome.

Well, not too terribly exciting of a day, last night was awesome though. I like that Zach FB kid, he'a nice and a good fellow to talk to. In other news, Gabe has a really high-paying job, and I'm a bum. I'm enjoying lunch though, again. Although it is more sort of breakfast for me. Actually, it's completely breakfast. Anyway, last night was a blast, for the most part, I really enjoy having all those people over. I'd like to have more nights like that. I'd also like 7.50 in nickels, but one thing at a time. That thing on my foot is a lot better, but not quite healed yet. It needs to get to it.

God, today was pretty sweet. Not only did I do nothing, but I had fun doing it. Took Alison to Raleigh, which was super nice of me. Then, I went to Adam's and took the day off, pretty much. Just goofed around for ages, then came home where I was too late to do any real work. So I have to do it all tomorrow. Which sucks, but oh well. The thing on my foot is still not healed, which bothers me, because it's been weeks. I think I'm going to take hat league off as well, because it needs to heal, and I need to stop hurting it over and over. We'll see. Family Guy was good, as always. Sister's birthday party. Odd, yet bothersome. They're loud, I don't like that so much. I'm not really into deep thinking at all right now, am I? Guess not. I'm going to finally get my shit together and read the Screwtape Letters, which I think is a cool book. Spirituality, regardless of how it's directed, has interested me for quite some time. My independent study, despite the horrible slacking, was a similar study, and now I plan to pursue that just a bit further. Not that I want to find some higher self or anything, I just want to understand more about what spirituality means to people, and what it's meant to do. Because I know that there's something I'm missing, but I'm not so sure what. I know I'm living a good life though, and so I'm confident in my self, which is a nice plus. Alright, you thought voyeurs, enough for now. I'll be back later with more for you. Kevin out.

Well, it's been a fairly relaxing week or so since summer started. I should get a job, i guess. I really just want to relax and play ultimate though. hang out with friends, dick around, it's all there to be had. Not a whole lot to say, today i sat on my actually skinnier ass and played zelda for, now get this, 7 hours. I got the fire and ice arrows and lead boots, not that that means anything to anyone, but hey, I'm proud. Well, Danny came over, just like every day, pretty much. Then he left. Then to Nick's, where Gabe was. I do enjoy hanging out with that Gabe kid. Nick too, despite not hanging out pretty much ever over the school year. Ah well, summer is going on, and it's pretty awesome. I play to make the most of it, how about you kids?

So clear out the smoke and usher in the light

Man, I graduate today. That's pretty crazy as hell. Lots of people have helped me get this far. I mean, I have enough self-confidence to know that I certainly could have made it here on my own, but at the same time, I'm incredibly thankful for what everyone has given, gives, and will continue to give me. To all the boys I see all the time, I'm pretty sure we're all the coolest people ever. You're all welcome over at my house any time, whether or not I'm there. Jeckles, we have got to stop being so god damn the same. Maybe, perhaps, next year, a single day will pass when I don't see you. Dubious though. For all those dudes going far away, that's too bad. Gabe, Nick, Adam, let's make this summer rock out like a lanky dude touching a power line. Girls, there's more to say than I can write. Hope, you've been around and in my life for four years, and it's been awesome. I hope we keep that up. Hui, Sandy, Chris, despite being far away, you've all been very dear to me, and I can't say enough for how much you've each helped me in your own ways. Sorry if we've grown distant lately. College dudes, you're all awesome. Mikey, I know we're dating, and I know you're dad hates that, but hey, I got him that sweet hat. Also, can I have my sandals back? Thanks. Actually, I think I'll just buy new ones. Oh well. Consider them a gift. James, you've been cool for like 20 years. See you more next year, hopefully. And last, but certainly not least, Red. You've been my best friend for going on two years now, and every time I've had a problem or question, you've been right there. I know we've gotten mad at each other occasionally, but you still mean the world to me, and you know that. My life would be much different without you in it, and I think that I like this version better. I don't even know what else to say. You know what you mean to me, and how much I cherish our time together. Alright team Kevin, that's all for today. I'm not even excited, it's just cool. Alright, I'll see you all at graduation, I hope. Bye, and you stay classy, Durham.

Synapse to synapse, the possibility's thin

Today was pretty sweet as well, i got up, mailed myself the comp sci i had to do, delt with it, then hung out with Carly for a while. She's always a fun one to hang out with. Very red hair, it's surprising. More orange, actually, but you get the idea. Then, ultimate for a while, played Keiran and his crew. We stomped them. Then they wanted to play soccer, that was ok, the girls enjoyed it, at least. Then back to Adam's house for some whatever the fuck, and i fell asleep. Then, my house, then took Gabe home and came back. I really enjoy hanging out with Gabe. It's been a while since we hung out a lot, but I'm enjoying it a good bit. Last mandatory high school attendance tomorrow, so we'll see. Well, that was my day. Nothing deep, not for now, at least.

I'll sing along, yeah with every emergency, just sing along

It's been a long time since I've used this thing, I forgot that at one point i updated it semi-regularly. Now that summer is back, it will become a log of my journeys through the summer before college and after high school. So far i have no plans, i applied for a job today, i hope it'll come through. Or, most likely, it'll fall through. Oh well, sara's thing is later today, tucker is in town. I hope i get to see him. Went to a crawfish boil yesterday, it was pretty awesome, even though i don't like crawfish. I think i'll go do something, I've been sitting around playing CS:S all day. Not that that's bad, i like it a lot, it's a great game, but I'm bored, and i'm gonna fix that. Hopefully, this summer will rock out like a cerebral palsy kid having a seizure. Well, that's all I've got for now. bye. Enjoy your days, thanks for stopping by.

Memory

So today I was reminded of one of my favorite memories from Ireland. We went to a pub in a small coastal town, I forget the name, we stayed at the Rainbow Inn, it was cool. Anyway, we went to this pub, and sat down to dinner. I ordered a cheeseburger, probably a poor choice, given the quality of beef in Ireland. My dad ordered some kind of fish, likely a good choice, given the proximity to the coast. My mom just had a salad. As usual, details about the lives of Kathleen and Connor escaped me. Anyway, this was all going on in a pub that was so packed, they seated a family of five at a table meant to be used by bus-boys cleaning other tables. The reason it was so packed was because there was a serious soccer game on TV. England vs. France. The game was a little over halfway done. the game was tied. Then, on an incredible strike from Beckham, England went up 1-0. The pub stayed pretty quiet, usual, I thought, for a coastal pub, considering that Ireland wasn't in the game. So the, near the end of regulation, Backham takes a penalty kick, has it blocked. The pub got a bit louder, mostly abusive yells. I mean, come on, how many times do you miss penalty kicks? Not often. Then, with about 4 seconds to go, this guy Zidane scores for France. The entire pub began to shout and yell and cheer like drunken, belligerent, Irishmen, which they were. About 30 seconds later, Zidane scored again. Once more, the pub went wild. Then, maybe a minute later, the game was over. Regulation time was over, and so was the stoppage time. People in the pub finished their beers and began to congratulate one another on a job well done. The abusive yelled about the penalty kick had been for Beckham, and how much he sucked. The entire pub, every single person in it, was, drunkenly and rowdily, cheering simply against England. Nobody cared who they were playing, they were going to cheer against England damn it. And they did. That was some awesome stuff. Maybe you had to be there.

Take my hand, Take my whole life too

For the first time ever, when I signed on to IM, my entire list from TIP 2002 was empty. It was a real shock. Not that I kept up with those people much anymore anyway, but it still makes me terribly sad to see that the paths people take through this life diverge so much. After mr. Lease, a teacher I actually really like, despite other's misgivings about the fellow, taught us The Road Not Taken, the Robert Frost Poem, I've had a new respect for both the author and the poem. As sad as I feel about the loss of contact and closeness, I feel terribly happy that I've had the pleasure of knowing all of them. I'll miss them, and I hope they think about me sometimes. But my life here is still moving, no matter what I think about or do, so I choose to focus on life here. Perhaps I have lost contact in far away friends, and perhaps even those I see every day have grown more distant, but to be honest, I'm absolutely sure that everything that happens will turn out OK. I do love my friends here, as weird and odd as some of them are. None of us are perfect, and most, including me, are far from it. However, we do alright. I'm going this weekend to Greenville to play some ultimate with the State boys, my first real taste of playing college ultimate. Should be fun, I'm bringing a cake. A few people need mentioning as of special importance to me lately. Carly, thanks for being so awesome, even though you'll probably never read this with your broke ass computer. Hope, I appreciate you always being around. BL- we should get together some time eventually. And I'd feel awkward thanking any boys, so you can all forget it.

Here's to semi-regularity. I ate a 1420 calorie burger today. God was it awesome. If I hadn't been racing and beating Peter, I probably couldn't have finished it. It was two thirds of a pound of meat, 8 pieces of bacon, 3 slices of cheese, the bun, of course, and some weird mayo sauce, only with more fat and less water. However, I sucked it up at practice. My flick is falling off, I need to get it back. This week we have a game against...ROB'S TEAM. Prepare to get whomped, suckers. Actually, that's an intimidatingly good looking roster. Oh well. Seems like a few people are going out of town next weekend. For those that aren't, we should relax and do something, I'm getting all stressed over here for no good reason. Other than that I'm really pleased with school so far. Except ms. Maynor's blatant inability to understand what she teaches, school is a blast. I love mr. Green, even though I don't think he likes me too much. I do just enough work to keep my A, then no more. International relations, best class ever. Psych, good class. English? Despite the fact that I'm terrible at it, I like english. It's giving me a better grasp on just how hard writing well is. But i'm still of the opinion that good writing is something that comes naturally, not something that is taught. Still, good fun. However, I'm going to go, so I'll update this more later. EDIT: Peter wants it said that we weren't racing. I was so racing him, but he wasn't racing him, so now you all know. If we were racing, he would likely have whomped me, like he does in every other eating race. The boy is a gd food hoover.
